May 9, 2010 - Tournament Trail Not Always Smooth

High winds were not the Attitude's only concern on Saturday as the team competed in the Hillsborough Hustle's one-day
tournament.  Team Attitude struggled throughout the day losing two in a row before earning a victory in their final showing.

Pitching was again a positive note for the club who had difficulty pulling it all together throughout the day.  Casey and
Madison continued to throw hard and in the strike zone.  Unearned runs generated scoring opportunity for their opponents
and as a result the Attitude fell short in two contests.

In their third and final game of the day, the Attitude took the upper hand by capitalizing on defensive mistakes.  Their bats
began to awake and earned runs began to cross the plate.  Madison's pitching was dominant and decisive earning herself a
complete game win.

Tournament play has one simple rule.  Bring your best team effort or your opponents will let you know about it.  The losses
do have beneficial value to them.  They condition and they season a team for future play.  A loss is never a loss when you
learn from them, and as the Attitude continues to travel the tournament trail, this is just one more aspect to building a
successful and winning team.

Alex C., Casey and Madison each earned MVP awards for their outstanding efforts.

The Attitude will be in Milltown for a 2-day event on Saturday, May 15th and Sunday, May 16th.
