The Transition Position
  • The Jersey Attitude has developed a successful system to help players transition into fast pitch travel softball.
  • Too often, talented players who have the drive and desire to play at a more competitive level, find it difficult to join with a
    successful travel team.  
  • Some players are intimidated by meeting new players for the first time.  Others are worried their skills are not good enough to
    fit in.  Both are real issues.
  • The Jersey Attitude has created a spot on its roster specifically for new players.

Here's How It Works
  • A player is recruited with the intent to grow and learn what it takes to be a travel softball player.  The player is initially
    assigned a mentor from the existing team.  This mentor is a more experienced and seasoned player who is responsible for
    helping the new recruit learn the ways of tournament softball and adapt to her new team.  She will guide her through each
    aspect of the team until she feels comfortable enough with the system.  This mentor role is also a responsibility of all
    experienced team members.

  • This system is in place simply to give aspiring players an opportunity to enter into tournament play.  Players who have been
    recruited under this program have learned, matured as players and have earned starting positions in the line-up.
